ARMENIAN-AMERICAN INFUSED CREATIVITY
Composition and Inspiration

'THE WORLD IS A MILL'
I am afflicted with amnesia,
beholden to a long shadow
cast over the face of time--
my face.
where I once sucked the marrow,
now the riverbanks run dry,
fast fading arteries upon the earth--
my flesh.
hark, the angel's sad laughter;
sounds from a carillon of recollections
engaged in futile contest--
my folly.

CHILDREN OF STONE: BROADFIRE
"Yervand frowned at his hands. They felt small… foreign, even as he clenched them both to weigh that cycle’s arcane labor – physical imprints of the mountain on his memory. Black residue and grains of gravel blended into the bruises and scratches on the man's palms, three decades of darkness to measure his life’s experiences, soaking into his skin as if it were the slag suspended above – ephemeral imprints on the mountain of his memories."

"HYEBRED OFFERS CREATIVE OUTLET FOR POETS, ARTISTS EXPLORING HERITAGE"
“44 Bebutov Street, Tiflis, Vernatun. This was the literary/art group that Hovhannes Tumanyan started in his home, gathering artists and writers to meet and discuss and commiserate years before the Genocide. If HyeBred has to occupy a role in the storied history of Armenian art, it would be as one of the members of this group, coming and going as time and circumstances allow — one among so many, each with rich perspectives to ply and play with.” Interview with the Armenian Mirror-Spectator
